And that is where we are different.  I barely value human life more than animals.  Does this mean that I would watch a human die or not help one in need?  No, because I even rescue insects such as spiders and put them outside.  I will help my fellow human in a time of need (I stopped and helped a drunk driver out of his vehicle who rolled his SUV over when I could have just drove off after watching him flip) but I don't view humans that much differently than animals.  Humans are animals and at times far worse than other species.
