The target for home consoles needs them to ship 2.9m PS3 & PS2 to hit the 16m combined target.  (This qtr last year they shipped 2.5m)

Sony had a price cut with great games that boosted the sales in Japan... there are even shortages in the last weeks.... so I believe this "depressing" target will be match. Now about the consoles Sony never changed the 16m plan... so I guess they are on track too... even so 15.5m or more is close to match.
