This Nintendo bashing is nothing new it was invented at the dawn of the 5th generation (SNES vs. Genesis), its was an instant success co-invented by 3rd parties and Sega of America, paradoxically the first victim was Sega itself.

GTA is certainly far superrior game than anything CoD related, but this was not reason for why GTA succeeded, it was mainly sociological change, the success of CoD is only consequence of this.
