Using multiple discs is a solution for games that need more space than a single DVD offers. That doesn't demonstrate Bluray was essential for PS3.

Sony should have focused less on a "true entertainment center" and more on just pushing a game console. PS3 sales wouldn't have been better without Bluray. It would have kept the console cheaper and more profitable.

Exactly some people have said without bluray there sales would be worse but Iif they chose dvd then the price would have likely been $400 which is what 360 cost and im pretty sure if they were priced the same in 2006 then ps3 would have outsold 360 by quite a bit

Sorry, typo. PS3 sales WOULD HAVE been better without Bluray. Most users didn't buy PS3 for a Bluray player. They wanted a game console.

No doubt an evenly priced PS3 would have outsold the 360.

I didnt even notice ur typo lol I was agreeing with u
