The ps3 has done a great job of going from a console that was both a commercial failure and revenue failure to at least being a commercial success. But there is no comeback result that will allow it to be considered a greater success then the 360. In terms of both commercial and revenue success the 360 won even if the ps3 ends up selling more commercially worldwide, its huge gap in the most important gaming market will always have it labeled as the loser. And its loss of market share from the ps2 will also have it seen as less successful than the 360.
But with all that said the ps3 can now at least be looked at as no longer a failure and that I see is a good job by Sony to stick with their product and correctly adapting to the market conditions.
