Hmm I didn't know the 360 version wasn't in-house.....
I hope EA literally has nothing to do with the production of the game, especially after what they did to the Orange Box on the PS3. In any case it sounds like the team isn't completely clueless, but without any track record or proven results just about anything could happen.
I have a feeling at the very least Valve is going to keep a closer eye on the project because of what happened last time and if thats the case it should go a long way towards ensuring a very polished final product.
