Please, don't blow it out of proportions.

CoD sold good this gen, but not out of this world. For one, they don't do 30m+ each year. Two, both Mario and the 'Wii' series sold more than CoD this gen and three, CoD definitely didn't outsell the combined total of either the GameCube or the XBox.

CoD did 165.8m this gen according to data here. GC did 208.6m and XB did 271.5m. The CoD number includes everything released this gen; console, handheld, pc, all different versions.

Anyway, OT: The next CoD isn't going to reach 10m on the PS3, so if it'll get a fifth 10-million seller it'll be Grand Theft Auto IV first.

Out of proportions?

First VGC didn't track PC sales... second only in 2012:

Call of Duty: Black Ops II: 20 million (PS3 + 360 only)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: 5 million (PS3 + 360 only)

In 2012 only two CoD games sold 25 million in PS3 + 360... added the others version (PC, Wii, Wii U, etc) plus the old CoD.

CoD sells over 30 million per year... and all games this already sold more than 200 million units.

You can believe that. Still, no single CoD game adds up to 30m. Also, I highly doubt this site undertracked CoD by as much as over 110m (!) to beat Mario this gen and the XBox total software sales.
