Guilty as charged.  Just read some yahoo politics article comments and you might assume you are the smartest human alive.

Haha yup!  It's easy to see why the founding fathers were afraid of democracy and chose for a republic instead.  And why only property owners could vote.  Hoople heads outnumber responsible citizens 9 - 1.

You make a good point.  If people are such idiots now then there must have been a super majority of dumb asses back in the day.  The internet does a good job of bringing out all the idiots.  It will be a good day when Yahoo disappears because then I wouldn't be tempted to wasting time reading dumb comments (I don't really visit Yahoo anymore for a the last couple of years).  I believe they finally put the top voted comments in the front.  It used to be whoever typed the latest comment.  So you would just see a bunch of fighting and name calling going on (kind of like how our politicians in Congress act).  Congress is like one giant kindergarten playground.
