While there will always be a segment that clammers for more power and better graphics it's a well established fact that the most powerful console had never won a generation. PS2 was least powerful as was Wii.
The problem with the WiiU isn't that it lacks power, it's that it lacks BOTH power and a compelling 'hook'. The gamepad simply isn't enciting to anyone(generalized statement, I don't care if someone here finds it enticing), yet it adds $100 to the cost of a WiiU. If no one cares to buy a WiiU because of the gamepad, then the next selling points are the graphics/power and games - which (currently) it lacks in both. That is a recipe for disaster.
