I bought a Panasonic Plasma about 3-4 years ago. I got burn in after about 15 minutes of Super Mario Galaxy.

First and Last time I buy a Plasma.

It's because you did not break it in properly.  I did a bit better with mine, but still couldn't wait to see my PS3 on it and as a result I now have a couple of icons like the clock and the progress circle permanently burned in.  Fortunately, they're usually only visible on white/light colored backgrounds but it still sucks.

OT:  Guess that just leaves Samsung and LG still making plasmas.  That's a shame because I definitely prefer the picture quality of plasmas over any kind of LCD panel, mostly because I just hate the limited viewing angle of LCD/LED.

I knew someone would say this. I broke the TV in for well over the specified time before I touched any games. When I said 15 minutes, I didn't mean I came home opened it up and turned on the game for 15 mins. LED is much better overall in my opinion as a technology.

Sucks for you, I guess...

LED TVs are much lighter, more energy efficient, put out far less heat, have very little glare, and don't suffer from burn-in, so, yeah.  But unfortunately even full array LED panels with local/micro dimming for plasma-quality blacks can't quite match the overall picture quality of a top-tier plasma, IMO.
