1)meditation 3 times a day for 15minutes to calm
down your thoughts in a room or place where you feel comfortable
2)without expecting a thing(by expecting a thing the meditation effect may vanish or be lowered)
3)avoid tv/pc etc.the less you are exposed to things the calmer you'll get.distraction has to be avoided.
when people are scared or uncertain they start to think a lot because they think they can solve a problem by thinking,they desperately try to control every little thing.-but that does not work as it is thinking that cause fear and unceartinity.the result=they get hyper sensitiv.
than they start to think more and more- completely loosing the feeling about being relaxed and focused.
the problem is to realise that thinking is the problem as it cause more and more confusion and doubts.when people are young they are less confused or have doubts as they don't waste their time with thinking.But it is hard to accept that thinking and the wish to control everything is the reason for the problem .
i would advise you to try it with zen-meditation as zen is the oppositte of thinking too much .(you will find lots of books at amazon)
