Well, I have to go through 3 more years (and then 1 "candidate" year) before I can specialize . 

Haha, I'm not exactly familiar with the system. But assuming you would leave the university after obtaining your Bachelor, would you be allowed to work as general practitioner (næsti mótsstaður - did google give me the correct translation?)? What use does a bachelor in your field?
