The issue they are talking about is the nature of the audience as you point out. It also shows that the audience won't change in their opinion in the foreseeable future. Can it change and prove them wrong? Sure..will they consider then? They should and most likely will. But that's not the reality at the moment and really is no reason to think it will change any time soon either. 

and you are wrong..they are not saying anything like we will make games for ps4/720 'when' the audience is there...they already believe it will have it. You said in another thread that they say they aren't making any games for those systems when they said no such thing. They just won't release any for the launch (which is really around 6 months from now). They pretty much said they will be there for the systems...if you want to assume anything on that quote it should be that they already have plans for games on those systems, not the opposite


I couldn't quite work out what you were saying, I think you're agreeing with me and have worked out what the company is saying, that a) They will not release on any console until it reaches sufficient install base, and that b) at this point in time, they believe that the PS4720 will reach that point before the WiiU does. Now of course, when Nintendo start putting games out for the WiiU, they will revise that prediction.

 

As for launch being 6 months from now, that is some great rounding. PS4 will launch in late November in Japan, just like pretty much every console ever. That is 7.5 months away. It will release in the USA any time from 7.5 months to 8 months from now, Europe 8-11 months from now. 720 may release Nov 2013 in the USA, it may not. Regardless, do not expect this company to be making games to release on the 2nd day of launch - they will wait
