I could watch last season because, alongside that, there was some good Tyrion or Robb or Dany moments where the 'right' thing happened, if only for a short time, and there was comedy. A Song of Ice and Fire has all the emotions and thoughts of the human experience. The main plot points are just the surface as it is the characters and their personalities and interaction within this complex world that make it such a joy. It is a dark world that is often unforgiving, but that is what makes it feel real and the victories feel so earned.
