You don't come off as offensive, but you've summed up what many Nintendo fans have said in this thread in your post.
You can argue quality in different ways, I get that, and the 3DS may be for you. But on almost every way you look at it, the 3DS wins out. The only way it doesn't is if you really don't like Nintendo games, and if such, why get a 3DS in the first place?
Just because someone doesn't gush over the overhyped first party Nintendo games doesn't mean that they shouldn't get the 3DS, the Wii, or the Wii U. There are third party games that are released that are worth purchasing on all systems, even the Wii.
New Super Mario Bros 2 is a very lackluster platformer. Not just for a Mario game, but for platformers in general, Super Mario 3D Land is extremely slow paced and easy, and only Super Princess Peach is worse on both accounts. While not a first party title, Resident Evil Revelations is the latest in the overhyped shooter series, rather than what used to be a good horror series, where the monsters are even more braindead than the original games yet your characters still retain the shooting mechanic that was brought to the series in RE4.
But why not look at a history of Monster Hunter in the west. In 2004 Monster Hunter was released to the PS2, getting an extremely high rating of 68(/sarcasm.) This tells you the opinion of the game, even during that time frame. It's not very good. The series continues to have minor changes and new areas, but otherwise, it's almost exactly the same as the day it was first released on the PS2. Still retaining a low amount of hype it received scores of 71 for the first two PSP titles. It was finally talked about how popular it became in Japan and it received a lot of hype around it receiving an 82 metascore for Freedom Unite. Again, the same exact game, but hype is what determined the score. Most people who played it didn't care. Still not a very good series. When Nintendo received exclusivity of Monstser Hunter Tri in the US, apparently it's such a great game to Nintendo fans. Not only is it exclusive, but what else was really good on the Wii aside from a handful of titles? Nintendo keeps exclusivity of Monster Hunter 3 and now gets Monster Hunter 4. Nintendo fans think Monster Hunter is the best thing since sliced bread? Seems that way. Never praised it before, but once it's Nintendo exclusive, best game ever.
But if by some chance every Nintendo first party game are as great as Nintendo fans make them out to be. Even if Monster Hunter and Resident Evil Revelations weren't overhyped lackluster titles in Nintendo fans eyes. Let's just say that all of these are great games.
Pilotwings Resort, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus, New Super Mario Bros 2, Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon Dungeon, Fire Emblem Awakening, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Resident Evil Revelations. Along with some other games for the system that are good. Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Etrian Odyssey 4, Cave Story 3D, and Tales of the Abyss.
Granted that everyone doesn't enjoy every title and I don't enjoy some of those and haven't played others, but for the sake of argument well give the impression that every one of those games are good games. So then for a list of Vita games that I personally think are good games.
Uncharted Golden Abyss, Wipeout 2048, Unit 13, LBP Vita, Gravity Rush, Uncharted Fight For Fortune, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2+, Dead or Alive 5+, Atelier Totori, Persona 4, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Aqua Kitty Milk Mine Defender, and Retro City Rampage. Let's also add games that other people happen to think are great games. Disgaea 3, Assassin's Creed Liberation, Playstation All Stars Battle Royale, Sly Cooper Thieves in Time, Silent Hill Book of Memories, and Ragnarok Odyssey.
That's 17 games compared to 21.
How about games that are coming out in the future? Devil Summoner Soul Hackers, SMT4, Lego City Undercover, Donkey Kong Country 3D, Animal Crossing, and Project X Zone are being released for the 3DS. Monster Hunter 4 doesn't have a release date for the US and it'll probably come out at the end of the year in Japan. But here in the US, Monster Hunter 4 is more than likely not going to come out until 2014, if it comes out at all. So right now we're at six games that are nearing release. On the Vita there's Guacamelee, Soul Sacrifice, Muramasa Rebirth, Dragon's Crown, Killzone Mercenary, Tearaway, Valhalla Knights 3(potentially good or crap,) Ys Memories of Celceta. So eight.
Not only that, but how about compare the quality between game releases.
Rayman Origins. The Vita and 3DS version don't have co op play, but while you hear constant praise over how well the Vita version was, you hear the opposite with the 3DS version, that if by some chance you have the ability to play the game elsewhere then you'd rather do so. The screen being zoomed out and the low resolution of the 3DS is commonly what you hear killed the 3DS version. On the Vita version the resolution is high, but not only that, you can zoom the screen in or out on the Vita to either get a much clearer view close up or see a larger area, a feature only available on the Vita version.
Metal Gear Solid 3D compared to the HD Collection. If by some chance you prefer to play Metal Gear Solid 3 at 20fps or below, sometimes dropping below 10fps, then stick with the 3DS version. The Vita version on the other hand runs 30fps and runs at a much higher resolution. Not only that, but it includes Metal Gear Solid 2, also 30fps at a high resolution. I'm not sure if Metal Gear Solid 3D is lacking Metal Gear 1 and 2 or if it has them, but the Vita version does have them.
Dead or Alive Dimensions compared to Dead or Alive 5 Plus. While I like both games, and for me there's a reason to own both games as I have friends that have a 3DS with the game but don't have a PS3 or Vita with Dead or Alive 5. But if you own both systems and you don't know anyone with the 3DS version, then there's really no reason to own Dimensions. Graphics obviously are one issue, but the game controls much better on the Vita version in my experience. There are more characters on the Vita version, and more online modes including online dojo if you want to train against someone online doing custom combos using the same character, etc.
Blazblue Continuum Shift 2 compared to Extend. More characters and online play on the Vita compared to wifi only on the 3DS. Obviously it's a different game, but just wanted to point it out.
Many multiconsole titles, like Sonic &All Stars Racing for example. The Vita version is graphically closer to the quality of graphics on the consoles while the 3DS runs at a noticably worse quality. There are games like the Lego games which the Vita version is nothing more than a port of the 3DS version, only look better because the higher resolution screen, but there are games that are on both consoles that are far and away better looking on the Vita.
Vita wins.... in my opinion. But I wanted argue my opinion which is why I posted this.
