My guess is that Microsoft will continue to support the current us of MediaRoom on the Xbox console, however it will be focusing on its own ala cart IPTV service on the Xbox 8.

The answer to your question is Xbox 8 will offer a wide-array of entertainment options.  Television programming will be one of them.

No, Google T.V. is an interactive service not an IPTV service.  There is a significant difference.

I personally think Hulu/Hulu Plus is the style of service that Microsoft is looking to create with its TV service.
