No, I wasn't talking about sales, but since you brought it up, I agree that an "Always Online" requirement would hurt its sales.
Hell, I was open to getting a 720, I had a 360 last gen, but I certainly won't be buying one if it requires a constant online connection.

i'm thinking that games will have check points every 2 hours, that will tell you please connect to the internet to continue, then you can go on with out being connected but if 720 was 2x more powerful then ps4 i would still buy it.

Power's not such a big deal for me, I enjoyed the Wii the most of the 7th gen systems, but spending a sizeable chunk of my internet just to play offine, and being grounded whenever my net is down, that's a deal breaker for me.

honestly with out a big power increase, i would see no reason to buy a new console.
