i think the wii, especially with the rumored specs.

Not even close. Never was the internet flooded with "the Wii will suck" material like it is now for the 720.

you guys do know the reasons for the hate, for the 720 hate are similair to wii and wiiu, except for blocking games.

1. focused on motion controls.

2. rumored specs look 50% weaker then ps4

3, locked used games.

Wii and Wii U don't require a constant online connection, which is the primary source of the animosity directed at the 720.

the main reason for animosity is, its not doing anything better then ps4, and then its locking used games, which why it requires to be online all the time,  making it easy choice to go for ps4.

If Microsoft came out tomorrow and disproved the "always online" rumour, the negatively would largely evaporate. It's by far and away the foemost thing people are complaining about.

not really, with the hardware being 50% less powerful from the rumored specs, and first party focusing on kinect, there still would be tons of complaining, with ps4 having the better MP versions of games and the better first party, its quite a down grade from ps3/360. if ps4 was much weaker then 720, you would here tons of sony fans complaining

Except that the majority of the negative press isn't about any of those things, it's about the supposed Always Online requirement.

Well i have been keeping up with 720 and orbis news on neogaf, yes its a big reason but so is having weaker hardware and the focus in kinect, with ps4 having better hardware, multiplatform games will be better on ps4.

Gaf is a tech-centric site, of course they'll be focussed on rumoured specs. But they're a very small portion of the gaming population, a minority not indicative of the whole.

if your talking about 720 sales, it will have great sales, but being online all the time, will really hurt it, but its first year in the us will be amazing.
