You guys are all hating on "always online" now, but in 5 years time may just become readily accepted.
I mean M$ are the ones who took a feature that was free at the time, online multiplayer and started charging for it. And the funny thing is, the consumers accepted it. So what makes you think they couldn't take "always online" and make it acceptable as well? I can see M$'s mindset here.
Just to clarify I'm not defending M$. I am 1000% against this and don't intend to get the nextbox whether it has always online or not (unless they pull out something completely out of the blue), but I think that is the kind of mindset they hold right now. So the rumors don't necessarily have to be untrue at the end of day.
