This. I believe both the PS3 and 360 will have these integrated into their OS as either a just in case scenario and/or to allow publishers to choose to block used games or not.
However, I'm very skeptical of an always online for everything with the Next Xbox. I'm sure there will be certain games that will require an internet connection; but not all of them.
@Vgking: No they can only add incentives to buying the game new (such as MP passes with new games).
