You'd be surprised the things men and women share that you don't expect.
There is the same type of strain in the creative industry too when it comes to videogame art and design. After all, boobs sell, but it's not every girl cup to wants to draw sexy bare breasts, guns, creatures and machines all the time... though I know of quite a few girls who draw for a for-fun pinup artblog that I am connected with. A lot of those same girls are avid gamers.
Our taste appreciations of things may vary some, but we are extended across all genres. We still play a lot of the same games... same with art, we have a higher tolerance for cutesy style probably moreso than the men, but then again there are a ton of men who will play those type of games also and I've even noticed some people here with 'cutesy' avatars you would normally more or less associate with girls. However, they don't receive a "stigma" for it afaik.
