I gave up on getting full Rathian and just subbed in a Barroth piece to kill Rathalos. He's nerfed. I didn't even have to dip into my own potion supply.
I'd be willing to help you farm Rathian, though. I should probably get going on this Internet thing at some point, and we seem to be advancing at about the same pace.
