Well..its is cheap, user-friendly; it has an excellent library of games and many others are coming; it engages social gaming with all its StreetPass, off-line and on-line features...no wonder why it sells a lot. We all agree that right now it´s the most successfull handheld of THIS generation. Period.

its not cheap, its actually the most expensive hheld Nintendo has made by far...

150€ for the DS vs 170€ (admittedly they had to cut the price first) for the 3DS is not a big difference in my eyes. It might seem unfair to compare post price-cut and pre price-cut prices, but after 2 years in the market this is (was) the price for each console.
