I prefer online gaming to be honest but i also like story. You know how the saying goes "If you are bad at something you dont like it" ;) Yeah that is my theory haha

From my experience though online gamers dont journey forums to often.

well i can say a reason for that is because mostly gamers on forums are the gamers who been gaming for a long time, and as i said in the OP,  a lot of those people do dismiss online gaming

I feel like the majority of gamers who have been gaming for multiple years (across a few gens or maybe literal decades) game not because other people in their life do (or not only because of that) but because they actually enjoy it. There are exceptions of course but many online focused games are less about fun gameplay/story, etc. and more about competition - which can be fun for some people (quite a few people) but is not fun for everyone.

Basically it's a preference thing, not everyone is going to enjoy the same things you do, that's something you have to just get over. You are in good company however as online gaming is very popular and only growing in popularity - across all forms of gaming really.

You can probably tell that I don't really enjoy multi-player(especially online) but I recently played Dungeon Defenders which was a blast and much better multi-player than single player for instance.

of course not everybody is going to enjoy online gaming, it would be ridiculous of me to think that everybody should like what i like. but my thread is about people who just wont try it out, and why reviewers seem to ignore it more often even though its very popular.

i can understand why a lot of people wouldnt like online gaming, i personally dont like all online games of course. but what i dont really get is why people just wouldnt try it out and go complain about it as well.

for example i read that quite a few people on here have already dismissed destiny because it has this focus on connectivity and online, and they are doing so without even knowing how it will work, just because it has the word "online"
