It depends on the game.
Some games are not multiplayer games IMO or the online part detracts from the fun as it would simply be better as local multiplayer only.
Example, I've never played the online parts to games like Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, etc. These are solo games to me and I have zero interest in multiplayer components. Same with ZombiU.
However games like COD, Battlefield, etc are all about the multiplayer as that's really all they are good at.
I play the parts that were intended as primary parts of the game, not parts that were slapped on as extras in the last minute.
