Where there's smoke, there's fire. This rumor has been posted by MULTIPLE websites over the past 6 months. It's not a re-hashed rumor either, these are different sources which are supposed to be reliable. IF THIS WAS FALSE, SOME DEVELOPER SOMEWHERE WOULD HAVE CONFIRMED IT TO BE FALSE, EVEN AS AN ANONYMOUS SOURCE.

Its ok to be in denial since this is still a rumor, but don't be surprised when this turns out to be true. If you think the Xbox negativity is bad now, brace yourself, there's a shitstorm incoming.

Ugh so gamestop isn't smoke

It is smoke but it mentions nothing about whether an internet connection is required or not. Like I said before, the only thing Gamestops comment could possibly mean is that the next Xbox will play used games. I don't expect it to be like this gen though, there will most likely be a sytem-wide online-pass type of thing for all games.
