Nah, Paramount's decision was worse. They screwed a lot of people when they dropped Blu-Ray so suddenly. It wasn't too fun getting an e-mail from Amazon saying your pre-order for Transformers had been canceled by the manufacturer. At least Warner is supporting HD DVD until May.

Also, the Warner move ended the war. The Paramount move only prolonged things. In the end, the Warner move was better for a unified format.

1. Paramount doesn't do pre-orders. If Amazon didn't refund the pre-order, that is their fault. Blame them, not Paramount.

2. Okay, that wasn't right.

3. Don't give them that much credit. Are you forgetting the shoddy HD releases they put out in the year before? All the multi-disc releases that came with a bad disc, which was almost unheard of from the other studios?

Or how about cancelling the multi-format disc? It wasn't about keeping HD-DVD alive. It would have been a great , and inexpensive, way to get 80GB discs just by slapping two HD-DVD layers on top of two Blu-Ray layers.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
