The camera won't be needed for most games. I don't think they'll reduce the max nr of controllers because of a limited supply of colors...
8 player simultaneous motion games are probably not going to happen. That would be quite a sight though.

There is Johann Sebastian Joust which uses up to 18 moves on some special builds. I think regular is the 7 player cap on PS3. But that game is graphicless and I don't think it even needs the PS eye, just the moves and attacking your friends.

Co-Optimus only lists 4 games for ps3 with more then 4 player offline co-op.
