Nope I had my ps3 since 2009 and I used up my warranty with Sony on the third day since I brought my ps3 to remove a straw my little sister put inside the disc slot.

did you try playing the game on another user? try that, if it doesnt work i would try turning your ps3 back to factory settings, make sure that you hard drive doesnt get erased and you have your account backed up and know the username/password/date of birth. i would recommend taking it to sony to check it out though

My brother can play FFXIII on his account just fine. I can save my backup with all my avatars, pics, wallpapers on a used, but I cant backup some of my game save data like all EA games and Demons Souls. Thats why I need online to get psn+ for the cloud storage.
Edit: Sony takes forever and im not sure if they do checkups for free. Ant got that warranty sticker

ohh, well i just remembered that you could send sony an email from their contact us on their website, i did it once and they did reply to me in like 2 days or a day. send them a message asking them what the best course of action is and what might be the problem
