I know and I think it's stupid for the same reason to compare consoles to PCs. I get a console because I know it will get the full support of the company for 5-7 years and in Sony's case some support 10 years at least. Everything will work with it and new updates will continue to improve it as well as optimization. You don't see much support for 07 phones from Samsung and Apple. Also consoles are less expensive by a longshot when you factor in contract costs after the $200 initial payment as well as data plans, but then again these are mobile devices so in the end the comparisons are just stupid. They're completely different pieces of tech that serve completely different purposes with completely different structures for profit (since consoles sell at a loss and make money on services, peripherals, and software).
