I'm not a scientist. But I get excited when new research comes to light. I will never understand it all, but I trust the more knowledgeable when they say something is worth exploring in the fight against cancer.

I see its interesting thanks for that. Its just no cure for cancer. With cure I mean repairing mutated cells for good not inhibiting the growth.

 

The discovery is interesting it seems like they assume that in all cancercells are higher concentrations of those entangled DNA strands messing up the replication of the DNA and they hope to stop those cells from replicating. It might not work for all cancer types, there is no data available yet and could potentially stop healthy cells from replicating too. Cancer can hide and spread finely grained were nothing can reach it and operation is impossible. Distributing a potent drug to all cells in the human body is not possible yet.

They must collect data first and I would be very surprised if they find a clearcut way to differnciate all cancercells from healthy cells like that.

Not saying this couldn't improve the life of millions of people significantly and make cancer more controllable in the future. But this will not transform cancer to a common cold we can stop Aids somewhat but people still fear it. It is however amazing and could pave the way for a new and better way to treat cancer.
