One thing I'd like though... With engine that good and the hardware finally catching up to their capabilities... My wish to see games like Final Fantasy going back to real-time in-engine cut-scenes, flowing seamlessly between gameplay and cut-scenes might actually have a chance to happen.

I liked how creative the teams had to be back then, working only with sprites... The result was more consistent throughout the games. Even if the CG cut-scenes are impressive, I always felt they disrupted the flow of the games.

What more, I'm much more impressed when the developers try to achieve greatness and epicness while using as much of the hardware's horsepower as they can, coming up with clever visual tricks to make it all happen...

Games like MGS3 comes to mind. I'd say MGS4 too, but there were way too many cut-scenes in there that were pre-rendered...
