I do think this will help the PS3, but I don't think it'll be all that noticable, and if to much of the sales of the PS3 start coming from blu-ray player buyers then I think we're only start noticing it through software sales, which won't be high as they should be relative to the userbase. Up to this point software sales of the PS3 have been very comparable to the 360, so it's probably wrong to assume that many people are buying the PS3 as a "cheap" blu-ray player. There's more money in the movie disc format than in gaming (at least for Sony) so it's doesn't really effect Sony.
