Without the casuals backing Nintendo this time and without 3rd party support, the Wii U might become another Gamecube.

GCN= best home console

People tell me the Nintendo games on it sucked and that's why it sold so little

What, you've never played a single GC game?

I wouldn't say they "Sucked". I'd say that there were several (Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Smash Bros., Eternal Darkness, Twilight Princess) that were amazing, and then several (Double Dash, Sunshine, Wind Waker, SF Assault) that I PERSONALLY just never got into, for various reasons. As in tried but they just didn't do it for me, typically because they tried something new that simply didn't work or appeal to me when it came to that series. Then again, I kind of "tapped out" that entire generation. I played games at friend's houses, but I never owned a GC myself (was going to for TP, but wound up getting the Wii to play the GC version instead, since it was already out). And I didn't get a used PS2 until at least.....2004 or 2005? I just wasn't really into that generation as much, wasn't into gaming as much that gen, I guess. I didn't like the direction the industry was going, and think that direction has only gotten worse.

However, with the Wii, I got back into gaming quite a bit, mainly because there were a lot of games on Wii that, unlike GC and PS2, just appealed to me more. Some 3D games like Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3/Trilogy, even Skyward Sword (as well as the Wii versions of Ghostsbusters and The Force Unleashed) I really enjoyed. But what really sold me was the volume of more "retro" offerings on the console, from the VC, to many WiiWare titles like Konami's Rebirth series, and Cave Story and LaMulana, the 8-bit Mega Man games, etc. As well as the retail 2D games like Wario Land, Ivy the Kiwi, A Boy and His Blob, NSMBWii, DKCR, Super Paper Mario, Muramasa and both Kirby games. It just appealed more to what I like about gaming, and I hope that continues on Wii U. I own a PS3, and certainly like some games for it, but I don't see myself buying a PS4.
