Ever heard of Ambient Occlusion? Oh nevermind, I'm sure you don't know what it is. But oh, you shall not worry, you're lucky that there's some people with knowledge at this site that can share their wisdom with you!: It's a lighting simulation method that gives much more realistic results, it calculates reflections better (specially on non-reflective surfaces) and it's usually VERY tasking on GPU's. And that's exactly why the X360 screenshot looks brighter and flatter, because it lacks ambient occlusion. Thanks for sharing those pics and proving the point that the Wii U version looks better and runs better.
But hey, as you said that you did not like how the Wii U version looked, you might as well skip the PS4 altogether, because I'm sure many of it's games will be full of ambient occlusion and realistic lighting.
