Press means little to nothing almost a year before the release. Who ever has the most attention during the holidays or launch is what you need to be looking at. Even E3 is way more important than anything that has happened in the first 6 months of the year. GDC isnt even for gamers. People made a big deal about nothing as usual.

This is totally and completely a false statement just generally looking at how the market operates. They are giving Sony the time to build an image around the PS4 and what it offers without showing anything in response. I know a fair amount of XBOX Faithfuls who are constantly getting more and more hyped with stuff that is being shown for the PS4, if they get sold on the PS4 early, the Nextbox will need an enormous showing to sway the people back whome have already been swayed. Hell, I know people who have pre-ordered the PS4 already based upon what has already been shown.
