The meaning of sexism has been literally blown out of the water and stretched to ridiculous lengths. I advocate and have full respect for women fighting for equal paid, equal opportunities in work places etc. However, it gets ludicrous when it crosses over to sexual issues between a man and a woman. Of course, when sex is involved there is bond to be a gender differentiation. A guy copulates with his partner, a women. Naturally, he likes to be the dominant one, and "coincidentally" his partner likes to be submissive and wants him to take the lead.

Then comes the feminist extremist, comes running into the room screaming sexism and that men and women should be equal in bed, gender should play no role, and by her definition, a guy should be **** in the *** by his partner all for the sake of equality.

Sexism is no longer about gender equality anymore, its all about elimination of gender altogether now.

How did you come from the issue in the OP to a caricature of a crazy feminist virago wanting to sodomize all men? You're really punching at ghosts here.

Feminists are for equality of opportunities and rights and the respect of gender peculiarities.

Feminists are not against S&M, submissive/dominant roleplay in the bedroom or in padded dungeons, rough sex or "traditional" masculine and feminine roles. They are against fetishising such dynamics between consenting adults so that someone might think that that's how it _must_ work.

They are not against a woman freely, happily and willingly living as a stay-in mom to raise a family per se. They are against a society that pushes women to take that role, restricting their freedom.

They are not against men discretely appreciating a beautiful coworker, nor against their personal fantasizing. They are against enough oogling to put her at a discomfort, in a working environment where she has to put up or be ostracized.

They are not against a woman liking to be submissive during sex. They are against their male partners assuming she should like it and against the overexposure to pornography that promotes that misconception.

Nobody likes to be flattened, it's as simple as that.

My arguement came off as  off topic here and I find your points fully valid. However, I'm talking about femanists agasint sexualization of women in the media. This is fully relevant to this topic because sexualization is the main issue here. Again as I have described in my previous posts, I fail to see any rationality in feeling offended by what other people do, regardless of whether they are a member of your gender or not unless their actions directly infringe upon your own rights. The women (and men) in the media, they get paid to do what they do, they agree with the terms and condition that comes with the job offer and it is fully within their personal freedom to proceed with the consesual contract.

In that regard, if anyone is simplistic enough to persume truth of any protrayal of women in media, then the offended women should seek her solution with that person, not complain in a wishful hope that the media offering fulfils their expectations or caters to their insecurities because some women like being sexualized, they know their beauty and they want people to see what they are gifted with.

It just seems to me that in most cases, there is a misunderstanding that the sexualization of woman impose a certain standard on women and what men in general deem attractive and that makes women who are naturally less attractive feel even more insecure/ unfairly treated. Well guess what, attraction to beauty is a predisposed psychological element inherent to men and no amount of desexualization of women in the media is going to change that. It is not like anyone see those dancers on stage, look around and expect the first women in sight to strip, get on stage and start dancing. If you are attractive, people will find you attractive. If you are not, then don't feel insecure that the attractive women are getting the spotlight. Nobody is forcing those women at a gun point either.
