VGKing said: The lack of these big-name 3rd party titles is what killed the Wii.(Of course Nintendo had some part in this as well) Even though Wii U is getting some big games such as AC and Watch Dogs, its still missing some major franchises. The ones it did get didn't sell very well at launch so I think the future of 3rd party support for Wii U won't be much different than that of the Wii. |
but the WiiU is getting 7th gen Sony and MS titles on their 8th gen system. I know WiiU is early, but that's like congradulating Wii for getting Okami or something. Watch Dogs will hopefully show WiiU's strength but it may be too late as the PS4 version will look even better. I guess it all depends on PS4 pricing. If it's $50 more than WiiU I feel like people will flock to it instead. If it's $450 or $400 and WiiU gets a $50 cut before it comes out then we'll see a lot less people willing to pay the extra price. If it's $500 and WiiU is $300 then we'll see a pretty darn good holiday for WiiU I think (of course MS would also have to be $500 but I don't think either will be).
