The lack of the biggest, most popular titles out there caught up with the Wii. People weren't going to continue purchasing a console that lacks a ton of good games. People keep saying Nintendo has lost the casual audience but looking at sales of Wii games last year, what sold the most last year? Just Dance 4. I say Nintendo lost and has been losing that "core" gamer for years. |
It wasn't until 2011, concidentally the year that Nintendo stopped supporting the Wii, that it slowed down sales-wise. Before 2011, Wii also didn't had any of the biggest, most popular titles out there(except CoD) and it was way ahead of the PS3/360 sales wise.
