And honestly, where did your "7850M" comment come from? Im really interested.

The APUs use low-cost low-power GPUs and CPUs. The low-cost low-power GPU is the "M" or "D" classes AMD uses. It seems obvious that the GPU will relate far more to a mobile class GPU than the desktop. If its just downclocking, then so be it. However, from the details it looks like it loses other things like CUs and so forth.

As for the above specific quote, this is why my comparison thread has "HD7XXXM" as the GPU type. Which specific model, I haven't labelled as I dont' know and AMD/Sony haven't stated specifically. If I've ever put the rest of the digits, its usually in a quote from someone else. However, based on many, I think the HD78XXM is probably closer distinction.

My point with calling it a mobile GPU is just that. Its a low-cost low-power GPU which is by definition, the mobile series.

APU's can use whatever they want. As in the PS4's case it uses a desktop level GPU. There is no "mobile" equivalent, there is no low cost, low power gpu with the performance level of the PS4 gpu that exists today. Please get it right.

The 7970M is not low power or low cost, considering that its the same gpu as the 7870 this explains why. Your mobile talk is really just ridiculous now. And I wasnt talking about your comparison thread. In a recent other thread you directly called the ps4 gpu the 7850M and went as far as to bold the M. And like i said that is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay off. Are you understanding yet or still gonna keep on with the same thing?

The HD7970M is low-power and far more likely. See thread linked.
