Taking E3 into account, Nintendo should come out with guns blazing as far as first party titles are concerned, but I do not see a Mario, Zelda, or Super Smash game being released in 2013. Instead, there will be a HD remake of Wind Waker.

Now, all the Nintendo faithful need to stop being butthurt and come to terms with their decision to buy a Wii U without considering the games release calender. And if they continue to argue that software will sell consoles, they cannot compare the Wii U's upcoming games library to that of the Playstation 4, the next Xbox, or the current Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

So your argument is that software will not sell hardware, but your suggestion is that Nintendo should have unveiled more software?

I don't think any of us are going to argue that the Wii U's current lineup for the next few months is anything special. But that's the way it always is with new console releases.

As for the next gen console lineup, the majority of the games you've listed are games that are being made for this gen that will also be playable on the 720 and PS4. As I recall, that made up the majority of the Wii U's opening lineup...and that didn't sell so well. Why exactly do you believe it will be any different here?

If people can play Destiny on their 360, they will do that instead of buying a 720 and a copy of Destiny for the 720.

(I should point out as well that Battlefield 4 has yet to be confirmed for next year)

The games that are exclusively next gen are, at this point, the next Killzone and Infamous. Hardly seems much better than the opening Wii U lineup.
