Is my new laptop good enough for moderate to high level gaming?

Unfortunatetly yes, the fan can get quite loud. 

The battery lasts ~4-5 hours most of the time too. Not sure if that is good or not.

 

As for bulky, yeah, the thing weighs in at around 6-6.5 lbs. However, it does feel quality and has a nice rubber textured finish to it.

 

I like it, but of course a desktop at equal price would blow it away.

Buy a laptop cooling tray.

 

My laptop was pretty decent in terms of specs when I bought it, and it could run any game on decent settings. But, without a cooling tray even playing games on low settings it would often shut down from overheating. The cooling tray stops that from happening.
