I'm asking myself the same question. Can't see a single reason behind releasing this game, Ni No Kuni, or even GoW:A on PS3 when Vita is struggling the way it is. I actually think that Ni No Kuni sales would be almost identical on Vita, but would move hardware. This game won't become a huge seller anyway, so should also be added to the Vita library. GoW:A with its multiplayer seems to be perfectly designed for Vita. Really can't understand the choices Sony is making this year. Why invest in a console that you want to kill soon, when you have a new one struggling like hell?

Ni No Kuni was in development before Vita was even a thing. And considering the reception to the PS3 version in Japan, there would be little to no incentive for Level-5 to put it on Vita as well.
God of War Ascension would struggle to fit on Vita without some serious cutbacks.
Rain is the only game that I'm baffled why it isn't on Vita at the moment.

Considering how easy it is to port games to Vita, Sony should have just asked (and maybe even paid) L-5 to change the platform of NNK to Vita. The reception really isn't all that impressive, 660k isn't anything that's not possible on Vita and it would surely move tens of thousands of Vitas. P4G sold a bit less, but that was without Europe. If Sony could add NNK to the current price cut window, it could do even better than on PS3.
GoW:A would be a bit of a challenge, but would fit Vita perfectly. Especially the multiplayer, since Vita seems to have the number of players limited to 8 anyways... There is no reason to support PS3 with such titles. I understand that TLoU has to be a PS3 game, but GoW:A would fit Vita really well and there is simply no need to buff PS3 lineup so much. People should start to be bored with this console, cause you want them to jump to PS4. That's what MS is doing this year. Giving us tons of great new games right now is a stupid thing in the long run no matter how you look at it.

the technology that runs on god of war would no way ever run on the vita. its just out of the question.

They could have limited it a bit. It's not like Vita is that far behind. I really can't see any single PS3 game to be impossible on Vita.

actually vita is somewhat behind. and the limitations are not just graphics, but AI and physics
@bolded other than GoW : A
GoW3
uncharted2
uncharted3
battlefield bad company
battlefield 3
skyrim
red dead redemption
those are just on the top of my head though
