The hardware list tells a lot about the likely age of the 2000 people questioned so one could have doubts about the objectivity of this research. Still odd though, as it doesn't really align with the choice of years for best games. Anyway, no way the 7th gen offerings are 'better' than PS1, SNES and N64. With a few exceptions, the list should basically be reversed

Agreed (to you and the others mentioning '98).
1998 is definitely the best year in gaming. In the top 50 thread in december, most games by far in my list were from 1998.
