I don't see him going in the short term though. Even after missing their lowered estimated targets for the quarter, they'll probably give Iwata the benefit of the doubt. If the holiday season continues this trend however, I doubt they'll be as forgiving.

True, although investors may start kicking up a shit storm if the lower estimate is missed - is it possible to assign blame in the short term to someone else?
