Taming 250 familiars is such a grind though. I'm currently at 215, and most of the familiars I have yet to tame have such a low chance for taming. It's also frustrating that, in most cases, I have to chose between trying to tame new familiars, or level-up my existing familiars to morph them into new ones. I've captured just about all familiars in the high exp areas, so I'm forced to return to earlier areas to hunt for new familiars.
It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have a growing backlog of games waiting to be played...

I just completed that the other day. I didn't find it to be too time consuming. I had 'accidentally' stole 2 scrolls of truth before I was activately trying to obtain them. The remaining three I was able to steal in less than an hour.
The kaleidostones were a bit more difficult to get. For some reason the creature that you steal them from would rarely appear for me. I would sometimes go for 30 minutes without running into that creature.
