So gay marriage is back to the spotlight in my country, as it's supposed to be discussed by the congress. The thing is several people (me included) are caught in optimism and hope for a rare exception, or miracle. Then again, I've read today the position of a person that stated that there are other more important things that should be discussed like adoption, or social rights, that he doesn't want to get married but that he did wanted other rights. I can't go in further detail as I'm rather ignorant in the national legislation. I understand this position, but in a place with a conservative and catholic population, shouldn't we try to get small victories, while aiming patiently for big goals?
