Well, 3D TVs do 60 fps per image since 1930's but 3D TVs have been out since 1920's.

3D Movies have been recorded at 60 fps per camera since 1930's, but 2D is recorded in 24 fps to this date.

Plus 3D makes movies & shows look much more crisper looking then HD could ever do.

And 3D also makes graphics look much more crisper looking then HD graphics. (i.e. 3DS with 3D ON vs. 2D HD graphics on Wii U/PS4/720)

thanks for the info, i never knew that no wonder people complained about the The Hobbit's 48fps in 3D
