Good point... I don't really have many fond memories of the Uncharted series.

I enjoyed them enough to play though them. That's worth something.

Considering you barely enjoyed Uncharted, comparing it with Tomb Raider doesn't really do Tomb Raider justice. Any decent game would be better than Uncharted in your opinion. But Tomb Raider is much more than "just" a decent game and deserves a much more impressive comparison.

It's like comparing '96 Ford escort with a brand new Ferrari to demonstrate the quality of the Ferrari. It doesn't really make sense and you'd do a much better job comparing the Ferrari with a higher quality car.

Eh?

Here's a comparison. I didn't enjoy the Battlefield 3 campaign because it sucks. Does that mean I can't compare it with the CoD campaigns which are actually good in comparison?

You're basically saying I can't compare game A to game B if I didn't enjoy game A as much as game B. I'm a fan of the genre so I'm allowed to compare Uncharted to Tomb Raider.

You can compare anything you want. That wasn't my point. You made this thread to tell how much you loved Tomb Raider. You wanted to convince everyone that it was a great game, or at least you felt it was. Therefore, comparing it with Uncharted makes no sense. From you, saying its better than Uncharted doesn't show how great of a game it is. Because you didn't think Uncharted was very good, being better than Uncharted doesn't mean much. Being better than Uncharted just shows that its a decent game, not a great game.

You're Battlefield/CoD comparison only makes sense if you want to say the BF campaign sucks. If you really want to show that the CoD campaign is good, then you would compare it with a high quality campaign, not a crap campaign. Any okay campaign would be better than BF's crappy campaign. So saying CoD's campaign is better than CoD's campaign doesn't prove much. It just proves that its better than crap, which isn't much of an accomplishment.
