I feel your pain with ornestein and smough. I was playing offline and didn't have solaire so I soloed them. I had to kill smough first too so I was up against super ornestein, what a nightmare that was. Another is 4 kings on Ng+ or ++, they have tons of health, hit hard and multiply if you don't kill them fast enough.

What? Even offline (I always play offline) Solarie can be summoned to help you! Perhaps you had missed him when in Anor Londo?
4 Kings are fairly easy...as long as you're a warrior and have enough strenght to wear that giant armor (Who was the knight who owned it?) that you find in Anor Londo. You only need to hit them fast, heal quickly and pray that not more than two summon at the same moment.
And what a mistake killing Smough first. That's some trick there xD
